First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union invites young students in our community to participate in an exciting Coloring & Design Contest to celebrate 60 years of service! Students in Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades are all encouraged to submit their original coloring and designs on the official entry forms.

Official Contest Rules

 

Eligibility

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are encouraged to participate. The entries will be judged per the following age groups:

  • Kindergarten – Coloring Contest
  • 1st Grade – Coloring Contest
  • 2nd Grade – Coloring Contest
  • 3rd Grade – Design Contest
  • 4th Grade – Design Contest
  • 5th Grade – Design Contest

Children of employees of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union may participate but are not eligible to win.

Contest Period

The contest starts January 31, 2020, and runs through March 13, 2020. All entries must be postmarked on or before March 13, 2020 to be eligible.

Entering the Contest

To enter, contestants can pick up coloring pages from any First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union branch location or download and print it from www.firstpeoples.com/coloring. Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

Artists may use whatever physical media they wish, including charcoal, colored pencils, crayons, markers, oil, paint, pastels, watercolor, etc. PLEASE NOTE: pastels or charcoal must be sprayed to prevent smearing.

Artwork must be the original, exclusive work of the contestant entering the contest in idea, design and execution. Collage materials and/or stickers are not permitted. Photographs and/or computer-generated artwork will not be accepted. Artwork may not feature copyrighted or trademarked characters. Every submitter will exercise due diligence to ensure that nothing contained in the entry infringes any other person’s copyrights or rights to literary property.

Please be sure to include the following information on the back of the coloring page:

  • Artist name
  • Age
  • Grade
  • School
  • Parent or Legal Guardian printed name and signature
  • Parent or Legal Guardian contact information: phone number, email address and home mailing address (no PO Boxes)

Please note: Teachers may NOT sign on behalf of their students unless the teacher is the legal guardian of the student.

Entries must be filled out completely and legibly in order to qualify, and will be void if they are, in whole or in part, incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, counterfeit, altered or obtained through theft or fraud.

Entries must be returned to First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union and be postmarked on or before March 13, 2020, to be eligible to win a prize. First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union cannot be responsible for any late, lost or damaged entries.

A potential winner may be requested to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with a winning entry.

Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union reserves the right to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).

 

Selection of Winners

All entries will be judged by a group of qualified experts per the specific age group at the contest’s end. Entries will be judged on the basis of:

  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Artistic skill
  • Interpretation and the clarity of the theme
  • Accuracy

Decisions are at the discretion of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union and are subject to change at any time. First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union reserves the right to award multiple winners and prizes, or no winners and prizes.

By entering this contest, artists and their parents/guardians agree to be bound by the decisions of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union and their representatives, which are final, binding and conclusive (without appeal).

Winners will be notified during the week of April 1, 2020, via email or phone call. If a winner does not meet eligibility requirements and is therefore ineligible, First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union reserves the right to select another winner at random.

Prizes

Winners may receive a $60 cash prize from First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union.

Winning artwork may be featured in First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union marketing materials, posted on First Peoples website and social media, and hung in branches. Artist first name, age and school name may be associated with each winning entry.

Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of entries received. All prizes will be awarded to the minors' parents or legal guardians on their behalf. No prize may be transferred or assigned by the winner.

In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union are final and binding. First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or the operation of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union website, or who otherwise acts in violation of these official rules. First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union further reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this contest if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being completed as planned (including, but not limited to, for the following reasons: infection by computer virus, technical corruption, force majeure, or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security, or proper conduct of the promotion).

Ownership of Entries

All entries submitted to First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union in connection with this contest, along with all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union upon submission. First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union is under no obligation to return entry materials to any entrant. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that if you win the coloring contest, First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union will own all rights to use, modify, reproduce, publish, perform, display, distribute and promote the artwork in perpetuity without compensation to you or any other person.

First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union consent for the artist to reproduce or display their artwork shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Release

By entering the contest, entrants and their parents or legal guardians release and agree to hold harmless First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union, and each of their partners or employees, from any liability whatsoever in connection with entering the contest, accepting any prize, or anything that may arise related to the contest.

Contest Information

The 2020 contest winners will be notified during the week of April 1, 2020 by email or phone.

Entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union.

These official rules are subject to modification by First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union.
